2026 世界地球日｜來自學生們的環境行動紀錄2026 Earth Day｜A Collection of Student Environmental Actions

今年的世界地球日，對 Hsinchu Love Action 來說，比起一場「活動」，更像是一段慢慢累積起來的過程。

This year’s Earth Day felt less like a single event, and more like a process that slowly came together over time for Hsinchu Love Action.

一開始，其實很多人不知道可以做什麼。有人覺得環保離自己很遠，也有人不知道「隨手做的小事」到底有沒有意義。

At the beginning, many people weren’t sure what they could actually do.Some felt environmental issues were far away from their daily lives, while others wondered whether small actions even mattered at all.

於是，我們沒有要求大家一定要做多大的事情。

So instead of asking people to do something huge, we started with something simple.

有人選擇關燈。有人開始減少一次性塑膠。也有人拍下自己的生活紀錄，上傳照片與影片。

Some chose to turn off the lights.Some started reducing single-use plastics.Others documented their daily actions through photos and videos.

有些行動看起來很小。但當越來越多人開始一起做的時候，事情就慢慢不一樣了。

Some actions seemed small.But when more and more people began doing them together, something slowly started to change.

這次活動中，也有許多學生主動分享自己的方式。

During the campaign, many students also began sharing their own ways of participating.

有人邀請朋友一起填寫表單。有人第一次嘗試錄製短影片。也有人默默地完成自己的環保行動，沒有特別張揚。

Some invited friends to join the campaign.Some tried recording short videos for the first time.Others quietly completed their environmental actions without making a big deal out of it.

這次世界地球日活動中，大家累積記錄的環保行動，最後換算出的總碳減量約為 2,567.97 kg CO₂。

In this year’s Earth Day campaign,the environmental actions submitted by participants resulted in an estimated total reduction of 2,567.97 kg of CO₂ emissions.

這個數字聽起來或許有點抽象。但如果換個方式理解——

That number may sound abstract at first.But when viewed differently—

大約相當於 5,200 度家庭用電的碳排放量，也接近 11,000 公里的汽車行駛排放。

It is roughly equivalent to the carbon emissions from over 5,200 kWh of household electricity usage,or nearly 11,000 kilometers of driving emissions.

而這些，其實都來自很多看起來很小的事情。

And all of it came from actions that initially seemed very small.

有人少用了一次性塑膠。有人多搭了一次大眾運輸。也有人只是記得隨手關燈。

Some reduced single-use plastics.Some chose public transportation more often.Others simply remembered to turn off the lights.

但也許，真正重要的，本來就不是「做得多厲害」，而是開始願意去注意自己的生活。

And perhaps what truly mattered was never about doing something extraordinary, it was simply about becoming more aware of the way we live.

今年我們也第一次嘗試，將大家的行動整理成數據與紀錄。

This year, we also tried turning everyone’s actions into data and shared records for the first time.

從節能、減塑，到日常習慣的改變，那些原本看不見的事情，慢慢被記錄了下來。

From saving energy and reducing plastic use to small lifestyle changes,things that usually go unnoticed slowly became visible through shared records.

我們發現，原來「改變」不一定要很巨大。

We realized that change does not always need to be massive.

有時候，它只是很多人的一點點累積。

Sometimes, it is simply the accumulation of many small efforts.

我們常以為環保需要很大的口號，但今年的世界地球日，我們反而更喜歡那些很安靜的小事。

We often think environmental action needs grand slogans, but this year we found ourselves appreciating the quieter moments more.

因為真正留下來的，往往不是口號，而是習慣。

Because in the end,what truly stays with people are not slogans — but habits.
