2021 Summer 幼安教養院緊急物資募捐

幼安教養院位於台灣苗栗縣，已成立30餘年。服務對象為身心障礙，正視身心障礙者生存以及工作權益，並且推動社會教育，使社會大眾接納身心障礙者。

Yu An Retarded Children’s Home (yuan.org.tw), set in Miaoli , Taiwan, has been servicing the community for the past 30+ years It exists primarily to assist the physically and mentally disabled, to fight for their right to work and to exist, and to promote public education and gain public acceptance for disabled individuals

2021年暑假，是我們第一次參訪幼安，我們準備一些他們所需要的物資參訪。很高興能認識幼安，我們想為幼安做的更多，讓更多人能認識幼安教養院。

We first visited Yu An in the summer of 2021. We were thrilled to get to know them, and for our visit we brought along some resources they’d need. We want to do more for Yu An, to have more people know about Yu An Retarted Children’s Home.

經過這次參訪幼安的機會後，我們更明白他們的需求，捐物是一個很棒的選擇，但是如果我們選擇購買身心障礙者親手製作的產品，會讓他們多了更多自我肯定，同時也維護他們的工作權益，因此我們在HCAS校園內義賣幼安的手工飾品，以及月餅。

Our visit to Yu An gave us a clearer understanding of their needs. It’s always great to give the handicapped the things they need, but if we could actually buy things they make with their own hands, it would improve their self-affirmation and protect their right to work. To do this, we hosted charity sales in schools, where we sold Yu An’s handicrafts and mooncakes.

總結來說，服務幼安讓我們很開心，雖然我們只是高中生，但當我們團結在一起，能幫助的對象及群體是超乎我們想像。

To conclude, providing Yu An with our service made us happy. Though we’re only middle and high school students, when we work together, the people and organizations we can help are truly beyond our imagination.
