2022 Summer 環保水壺日 向一次性塑膠說不

最近已經出現許多前所未見威脅海洋生態系統的警訊。國際顆粒監測組織的調查也顯示遭受POPs危害海洋生態，這些微粒進入食物鏈，而我們也身在其中。大多數塑膠是從陸地進入海洋，其中超過一半以上是一次性塑膠。因此我們決定提倡「水壺日」，關注海洋的同時也提倡減塑生活，守護人類與大自然的健康。

More alarming signs have surfaced and threatening the marine ecosystem. International organizations that oversee particle pollutants have shown in their research that Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are detrimental to the ocean once they enter the food chain and will ultimately harm us. Most of the plastic is relocated from land to sea, yet disposable plastic constitutes more than half of the amount. Therefore, we are promoting “Water Bottle Day,” an event caring for the massive water bodies that support our lives in all forms, and urging for the reduction of plastic usage, protecting the human species and the well-being of Mother Nature.

這個活動我們是在校內進行，因此我們需要事前提交活動企劃給校長簽核，經過一次次改進並完善活動企劃，才終於取得校方的同意。活動的宣傳過程中，我們宣導同學不使用一次性塑膠，並解釋一次性塑膠對生態和人體帶來的危害。

This event took place on campus, which required the approval of our event planning from the principal. Through effortlessly modifying our proposal, we eventually received the green light from the school. While promoting the event, we call for students to boycott disposable plastic by explaining its harm to the environment and human bodies.

水壺日當日，同學們不使用寶特瓶或手搖杯裝飲料，有帶水壺來上學的同學，可以持水壺領取一顆新鮮的檸檬，親手做一杯健康檸檬水，為海洋及人類健康乾一杯。

On the date of the event, students bringing their water bottles can receive a fresh lemon and make a bottle of lemonade. We toast and cheer for the well-being of the ocean and our species.

我們學習並實踐環保和永續生態的精神，在自己行有餘力的範圍內，實踐環保精神。社會上得到幫助的族群，不僅是有益海洋的永續發展，在進行減少塑膠微粒的同時，避免人類誤食塑膠微粒而危害人類健康。

We learned and practiced the ideology of environmental friendliness and sustainability and put knowledge into action within our abilities. Society will benefit greatly, not only by promoting sustainability but also by protecting humans from ingesting plastic particles by reducing the source.
