2021 Spring 人安基金會 地瓜媽媽袖套製作活動

人安基金會於2009年起推行「給魚給竿，拉人一把」的烤地瓜謀生方案：除了提供烤地瓜的相關器具外，也對單親以及低收入媽媽進行輔導訓練，教導賣地瓜的方法，給地瓜媽媽們一個賺取收入的機會，也協助他們逐漸改善生活。

Starting in 2009, the Zenan Foundation has been promoting the Give’m Now and Show’s How Bake Your Way to Independence programs. In addition to providing equipment for baking sweet potatoes, we also provide training and assistance to single-parent and low-income mothers to help them both bake and sell what they bake. All this is to give these “Sweet Potato Mommies” a chance at an income and to help them improve their lives gradually

我們注意到這些單親媽媽在賣地瓜時，雙手容易因為高溫而燙傷，因此我們發起袖套勸募的活動。這些袖套不僅避免賣地瓜的媽媽們燙傷，也能維持衣物乾淨。我們參考了一些袖套材質，親自挑選最適合做袖套的布料，也到袖套縫紉工作室學習如何縫紉袖套。

Once we noticed how these single moms often burn themselves while selling their sweet potatoes, we set up an oversleeve donation program. Not only do these oversleeves protect Sweet Potato Mommies from burns, but they also keep their clothes clean. We looked into available materials for oversleeves, hand-picked the best for our oversleeves, and even attended an oversleeve sewing workshop to learn how to sew oversleeves.

勸募結果是我們總共募集到1000雙袖套，我們很高興大家願意幫忙，減輕單親媽媽們在工作上的燙傷困擾，不僅讓他們的家人放心，相信他們工作起來會更順利。

Our fundraising efforts raised enough donations for 1000 pairs of oversleeves! We were delighted to see everyone working towards reducing Sweet Potato Mommies’ work-related burn injuries. Beyond setting their families’ hearts at ease, we believe this will also help their work go more smoothly.
