在與徐欣瑩議員共同完成關西AI教育課程後，新竹愛心小隊的成員們對她進行了一場深度訪談。

After completing the Guanxi AI Education course together, members of the Hsinchu Love Squad conducted an in-depth interview with Councilor Hsin-Ying Hsu.

今日的專訪主題聚焦於：究竟是什麼樣的契機，讓徐欣瑩議員選擇踏上從政的道路？

Today's interview focuses on what inspired her to embark on the path of politics.

33歲開始從政的徐欣瑩議員，不僅是當時最年輕的議員之一，也是學歷最高的。然而，從政並非她一開始的選擇。她在一次次人生的偶然際遇和衝動下，決定離開原本的職業道路。進入政壇之前，徐欣瑩曾參加過志工服務，而正是在這段志工經歷中，她逐漸看到了社會的另一面，發現了社會中層層交織的複雜問題。

At the age of 33, Councilor Hsin-Ying Hsu became one of the youngest and most academically accomplished politicians of her time. However, politics was not her initial career choice. Through a series of life’s coincidences and impulses, she decided to leave her original career path. Before entering politics, Hsu participated in volunteer work, and it was during this experience that she gradually saw different aspects of society, discovering the complex layers of social problems.

正是在這段志工歷程中，徐欣瑩與一群教授及年齡相仿的朋友，開始思考一個問題：「我們是不是能為這個社會做些什麼？」這個共同的想法促使他們行動，而在這群人中，需要一位領導者來率先實踐這個理念。於是，徐欣瑩被推舉為領頭人，踏出了改變社會的第一步，開始將她的精力投向回饋社會的工作。

During this volunteer journey, Hsu and a group of professors and similarly aged friends began to ponder, "Can we do something for society?" This shared thought prompted them to take action. Among the group, someone needed to step up as a leader to bring the idea to life. Hsu was chosen to take that first step, committing herself to contributing more to society.

當然，徐欣瑩走上從政這條道路，不僅僅是基於一個瞬間的決定，還有多重人生經歷的影響。她分享道，二十多歲時，母親的一場大病讓她重新思考生活的價值，也讓她意識到，社會上還有許多同樣無助、需要幫助的人。這個人生轉折點促使她更加關注社會上的弱勢群體，並萌生了服務社會的意願。

Of course, Hsu’s journey into politics was not the result of a single decision but a culmination of life experiences. She shared that in her twenties, her mother suffered a serious illness, which made her reconsider the value of life. It also made her realize that there were many other people in society who felt similarly helpless and needed assistance. This pivotal moment led her to focus more on vulnerable groups and sparked her desire to serve the community.

直到三十歲那年，徐欣瑩遇到了一群有相同理念的人，他們都渴望為社會做出貢獻。這讓她真正踏上了議員的道路，決心為社會中相對弱勢的族群發聲，並提供他們應有的支持與幫助。

At the age of thirty, Hsu met a group of like-minded individuals, all eager to contribute to society. This was when she truly embarked on her path as a councilor, determined to speak up for the more disadvantaged in society and offer them the support they deserved.
