在 2024 至 2025 年間，Casper Hsu 積極參與新竹愛心小隊（Hsinchu Love Action）的多項公益與永續行動，從資源再利用到社會關懷，從環境倡議到教育推廣，每一次參與都展現出他實踐愛與責任的決心。

Between 2024 and 2025, Casper Hsu actively took part in a wide range of community and sustainability projects with Hsinchu Love Action. From recycling and donation drives to environmental education and social service, his actions reflect a deep commitment to empathy, responsibility, and meaningful change.

資源再利用：從「舊」中創造新價值

Resource Recycling: Creating New Value from What’s Old

2024 年，Casper 參與了多項資源回收與再利用活動，包括：

• 舊鞋救命計畫：協助整理與打包鞋子，讓物資能被送往需要的地區。

• 伊甸舊衣回收：分類舊衣並了解再利用流程，推廣惜物與循環理念。

• 二手書捐贈活動：協助收集與分類書籍，讓知識與閱讀能延續新的生命。

  
  

In 2024, Casper participated in several recycling and reuse programs:

• Shoes That Save Lives – Helped collect and pack gently used shoes for global and local donation.

• Eden Foundation Clothing Drive – Assisted in sorting clothes for reuse and learned about sustainable textile recycling.

• Used Book Donation Project – Collected and organized books to share the power of reading and knowledge with others.

  
  

這些行動讓他體會到，環保與公益並非兩條分開的道路，而是能同時實踐的生活方式。He realized that environmental protection and social care are not separate causes—they can coexist as part of a mindful and compassionate lifestyle.

愛心傳遞：從捐款到陪伴的行動力量

Compassion in Action: From Fundraising to Hands-On Service

Casper 也是 FuFu 豬愛心計畫 的長期參與者。他在 2024 與 2025 年分別領取並認養 FuFu 豬存錢筒，將日常零錢化作對偏鄉醫療的支持。2025 年，他更擔任 FuFu 豬換幣志工，協助清點與整理學生募得的善款，成為愛心傳遞的重要一環。

Casper has been a devoted participant in the FuFu Piggy Bank Charity Project, adopting a piggy bank in both 2024 and 2025 to support rural healthcare initiatives. In 2025, he also volunteered as a FuFu Piggy Bank Coin Exchange Assistant, helping to organize and count collected donations from students — transforming small acts of giving into meaningful collective impact.

用行動定義醫者仁心：Casper 的南迴故事

Defining Compassion Through Action: Casper’s Story in South-Link

Casper 於 2024 年暑假參與 南迴基金會偏鄉醫療實習，親自前往台東南迴地區，協助基金會在文健站與社區服務據點的醫療與照護工作。他與醫療團隊一起量測長者血壓、分送物資、陪伴長輩聊天並協助居家探訪，深刻感受到偏鄉醫療資源不足與醫護人員的奉獻精神。這段經驗讓他更加堅定：「未來一定要成為一名能真正幫助病患的醫生。」

Casper joined the South-Link Medical Foundation Rural Healthcare Internship in the summer of 2024, traveling to Taitung’s South-Link region to support community health stations and medical care services. Alongside healthcare professionals, he assisted with blood pressure checks for seniors, distributed supplies, provided companionship, and supported home medical visits. Experiencing the challenges of rural healthcare firsthand strengthened his commitment to medicine. Casper shared, “This experience made me realize what it truly means to serve others. In the future, I want to become a doctor who brings real help and hope to people in need.”

今天的每一步，都將成為他追逐醫學夢想的力量。Every step he takes today brings him closer to his dream of becoming a compassionate physician.

因為在 2024 年參與南迴偏鄉醫療實習活動，與徐超斌醫師及南迴醫療團隊有直接接觸並親身見證他的付出，所以在得知他於 2025 年辭世 的消息時，我感到深深的悲痛與不捨。徐醫師的一生，是以行動詮釋「醫者仁心」的典範，他的精神將永遠被記住，也深深影響了我的人生方向。以下是我寫下的悼念文字，向徐醫師致以最高敬意。

Since I joined the South-Link Medical Internship in 2024, where I personally met Dr. Chao-Bin Hsu and witnessed his unwavering dedication to rural healthcare, the news of his passing in 2025 brought me profound sadness and grief. Dr. Hsu lived a life that truly embodied the heart of a healer, and his legacy continues to inspire me deeply. Below is my heartfelt reflection written in memory of him, with the utmost respect.

In Memory of Dr. Chao-Bin Hsu — Reflection by Casper Hsu

無私的奉獻是件很難的事。徐超斌醫師將自己的一生奉獻給偏鄉醫療，他不畏艱難、默默付出，為需要的人帶來希望與溫暖。得知他辭世的消息，令人感到無比哀痛與不捨。他的一生讓我明白，真正的影響力不在名利，而是在於對他人的關懷與責任感。

 第一次參與南迴醫療時，我看到徐醫師走路雖不方便，卻仍奮不顧身地前往不同病患家中進行居家醫療。他的身影深深刻在我心中，也讓我體會到「醫者仁心」的真正意義。每當想到他的堅持與付出，我心中充滿敬意，也激勵我在成為醫師的道路上，學習他的精神，願意為病患、為社會無私奉獻，將醫療的溫暖帶給更多需要的人。

正如徐醫師的人生處方簽所寫：「愛，不是我們要出發的方向，而是我們出發的起點。」這句話不僅是他一生的信念，也成為我未來行醫路上的指引與力量。

Selfless dedication is never easy.Dr. Chao-Bin Hsu devoted his entire life to providing medical care in remote regions of Taiwan. Despite hardships, he worked quietly and tirelessly, bringing hope and warmth to those in need.The news of his passing filled me with deep sorrow and loss. His life taught me that true influence is not measured by fame or wealth, but by compassion and responsibility toward others.

When I first joined the South-Link Medical Care Program, I saw Dr. Hsu walking with difficulty, yet still determined to visit patients in their homes to provide care. His figure remains vividly in my memory—it was then that I truly understood the meaning of “a healer’s benevolent heart.”Each time I think of his perseverance and dedication, I feel immense respect. His spirit continues to inspire me on my journey to become a doctor — to serve patients and society with selfless devotion, and to deliver the warmth of medicine to those who need it most.

As written in Dr. Hsu’s “Prescription for Life”:

“Love is not the direction we are heading toward, but the starting point from which we begin.”

This belief was not only his lifelong conviction, but also the guiding light that will continue to shape my own path in medicine.

關懷社會：走入真實的生命現場

Caring for the Community: Stepping into Real-World Service

2024 年，他參與 廖子齊議員訪談活動，與議員對談環境政策與青年行動主題，展現公民關懷意識。2025 年，他更走進社會現場，參與 新竹人安街友盲包活動，親手整理物資與包裝關懷袋，將溫暖送給街頭的朋友們。

In 2024, Casper joined an interview session with Councilor Liao Tzu-Chi, engaging in discussions on environmental policies and youth civic engagement. In 2025, he took part in the Homeless Care Pack Project organized by the Ren-An Foundation, preparing and delivering care packages to people experiencing homelessness, offering not only supplies but human connection and dignity.

環境與永續：從學習到倡議

Environment and Sustainability: From Learning to Advocacy

Casper 也持續關心環境議題。他參與了 2024 & 2025 世界地球日行動（Earth Day Campaign），協助推廣減塑與環保生活；同年，也參與了 環境永續講座工作坊（Environmental Sustainability Workshop），學習 ESG、SDGs 及系統思維的概念，並將所學融入生活與服務中。

He continued to focus on sustainability by joining the 2024 & 2025 Earth Day Campaign, promoting plastic reduction and sustainable living.That same year, he attended an Environmental Sustainability Workshop, exploring ESG and SDG frameworks and reflecting on how individual actions can contribute to collective environmental progress.

公益行動延伸：以行動累積影響

Expanding Impact Through Service

2025 年，Casper 的參與更延伸至 愛女孩—幸福棉行動（Love Binti Cloth Pad Workshop），協助推廣月經貧窮議題與女性健康教育；同時也加入 安德烈食物銀行志工行動（Andrew Food Bank Volunteer Program），協助整理與分送食物包。

In 2025, Casper also took part in the Love Binti Cloth Pad Workshop, raising awareness about menstrual equity and women’s health, and volunteered at the Andrew Food Bank, supporting the preparation and distribution of food packages for families in need.

這些經驗讓他學會觀察社會議題、主動投入行動，也體會到「改變的起點，就在於願意付出」。Through these experiences, he learned to engage with social issues hands-on and discovered that meaningful change begins when one chooses to act.

結語

Casper 用兩年的時間，串起了一條從「環境行動」到「社會關懷」的公益軸線。他相信，無論是整理舊鞋、清點零錢、包裝盲包或分享理念，只要每個人願意付出一點點，世界就能往更好的方向前進。

Over the past two years, Casper has built a continuous path of service — connecting environmental care, education, and community empathy.He believes that every effort, no matter how small — a donated pair of shoes, a counted coin, or a shared smile — can move the world a step closer to kindness and sustainability.
