Melody 是一位非常熱心、有愛心的學生。她成長於一個長期參與 慈濟公益 的家庭，從小就耳濡目染地學習到「助人為樂」的精神。無論是在校內活動、社區服務，或是參與新竹愛心小隊的各項公益行動中，她總是主動付出、用心傾聽，並以實際行動幫助需要的人。

Melody is a warm-hearted and compassionate student who grew up in a family deeply involved with Tzu Chi Foundation’s charitable work. From an early age, she has embraced the value of serving others with kindness and humility. Whether supporting community projects, volunteering with Hsinchu Love Action, or assisting classmates, she always brings positive energy, empathy, and dedication to everything she does.

她的溫柔堅定與助人精神，讓身邊的人都深受感動。Melody 不僅是善良的實踐者，更是把「愛」化為日常行動的典範。Her gentle determination and genuine desire to help others inspire everyone around her — a true example of how compassion can become a way of life.

以生活為教材，讓學習自然發生

Learning English Through Everyday Life

連續三年的暑假，Melody Fan 參與了由 新竹愛心小隊（Hsinchu Love Action） 與 新住民家庭服務中心（New Immigrant Service Center） 合作舉辦的 「新住民英語營」，擔任教學助理（TA），帶領新住民孩子學習英文。

Three consecutive summer vacations, Melody Fan joined the New Immigrant English Camp, co-hosted by Hsinchu Love Action and the New Immigrant Service Center, serving as a Teaching Assistant (TA) to guide children from new immigrant families in learning English.

從備課、教材發想、遊戲設計到學習單製作，全都是 Melody 親自規劃完成。她希望孩子能在互動與生活情境中學習英文，而不是只背單字，因此以「購物」為主題，打造一堂兼具趣味與實用的課程。

From lesson planning and material design to creating interactive worksheets, Melody handled every step on her own. She wanted her students to learn English through real-life scenarios — not just memorization — so she designed a lively, hands-on lesson centered on the theme of shopping.

Day 3｜來去百貨公司！

Day 3｜A Trip to the Department Store!

這天的主題課程是「購物英文」。Melody 以百貨公司為情境，教導孩子在購買衣物與日常用品時會用到的實用句型，例如：

The theme of the day was shopping English. Melody used the department store as a setting to teach useful phrases and vocabulary for buying clothes and everyday items, such as:

• How much is this T-shirt?

• What size do you have?

• I’d like to try this on.

課程中，孩子們不僅學習句型，也透過角色扮演進行「模擬購物」活動。Melody 將教室佈置成迷你百貨公司，讓學生分組扮演買家與店員，使用英文詢問價格、尺寸與顏色，完成購物任務。

Instead of rote learning, the students practiced English through role-play. Melody transformed the classroom into a mini department store, where children took turns being “customers” and “shopkeepers,” using English to ask about prices, sizes, and colors while completing shopping tasks.

孩子們在遊戲中笑聲不斷，也在自然互動中開口說英文。原本害羞的學生，漸漸敢用英文表達自己，甚至主動練習對話。

The classroom soon filled with laughter and excitement. Even the shyest children began speaking English confidently, helping one another practice as they played.

Melody 在課後分享時寫道：

「看到孩子們能自己開口說完整的句子，甚至互相幫忙練習，我覺得所有準備的辛苦都值得了。」

After class, Melody reflected:

“Seeing the kids speak full English sentences and help each other practice made every bit of preparation worth it.”

教學設計與成長收穫

Teaching Design and Personal Growth

這次教學經驗讓 Melody 學到的不僅是課堂管理，更是理解孩子的學習節奏。她在課堂中不斷調整指令與活動難度，讓不同程度的學生都能跟上並享受學習的樂趣。

This experience taught Melody more than just classroom management — it taught her how to sense and adapt to her students’ learning pace. She adjusted her instructions and activity difficulty so that every child, regardless of level, could learn happily and confidently.

她說：

「原來當老師要同時兼顧節奏、互動和每個孩子的反應。能看到他們在遊戲中學習，是最有成就感的時刻。」

She shared:

“Being a teacher means balancing timing, interaction, and every child’s response. Watching them learn through play was the most rewarding part.”

1. 2023幼安教養院 疫情期間，我們提供物資支援，並捐贈二手電腦給幼安教養院，改善孩子的學習環境。微小行動，也能成為重要力量。

   
   

   During the pandemic, we supported with essential supplies and donated refurbished computers to Yu-An Children’s Center, improving learning access. Small actions can create meaningful impact.
   

2. 2024 徐欣瑩立委訪談　參與新竹愛心小隊與立法委員徐欣瑩的訪談活動，了解環境永續與青年公共議題。　Joined an interview with Legislator Hsin-Ying Hsu, discussing youth participation and sustainability issues.
   

3. 2024 關西電腦 AI 營　在營隊中擔任助教，協助學生學習電腦與人工智慧入門課程。　Assisted as a TA in the Guansi Computer & AI Camp, helping students explore basic computing and AI concepts.
   

4. 2024 家扶園遊會　參與新竹愛心小隊的攤位活動，販售全新及二手物品，所得全數捐贈家扶基金會。　Joined the Hsinchu Love Action booth at the Family Support Fair, selling both new and second-hand items, with all proceeds donated to the Child Welfare Foundation.
   

5. 2024 人安街友盲包行動　參與「街友盲包」公益活動，協助整理與打包物資，分送給街友。　Joined the “Homeless Care Pack” initiative, preparing and distributing packages for people experiencing homelessness.

6. 2025 人安基金會吉安站建站計畫　協助捐贈六台再生電腦，支援弱勢者職訓與社區服務運作。　Helped donate six refurbished computers to the Ren-An Ji’an Service Station to support digital inclusion and community services.
   

7. 2025 世界地球日活動　參與地球日環保倡議行動，推廣減塑與永續生活。　Took part in the Earth Day campaign, promoting sustainability and environmental protection awareness.
   

8. 2025 慈濟再生電腦中心參訪　前往慈濟再生電腦中心學習回收與維修流程，了解科技資源再利用的重要性。　Visited the Tzu Chi Recycling & Computer Refurbishment Center to learn about technology recycling and environmental responsibility.
   

9. 2023~2025 安德烈食物銀行志工　參與物資分類與包裝，協助食物銀行將資源送達有需要的家庭。　2023~2025 Volunteered at the Andrew Food Bank, assisting in sorting and distributing food supplies to families in need.
   

10. 2025 人安基金會吉安站志工實習　參與為期三天的社區服務實習，協助備餐、物資整理及長者探訪。　Completed a three-day volunteer internship at the Ren-An Ji’an Service Station, helping with meal preparation, resource sorting, and elder care visits.
    

11. 2025 新住民子女英語夏令營(teach English) TA　擔任新住民英語營教學助理（TA），獨立設計課程並帶領孩子學習生活英文。　Served as a Teaching Assistant in the New Immigrant English Camp, independently planning lessons and leading children in learning practical English through interactive activities. Melody 相信，「改變世界不需要偉大的舉動，只要從身邊的一點善意開始」。她的每一次微笑、每一場活動、每一次主動伸出的援手，都是這份信念的實踐。未來，她希望能將慈濟的精神與自己的熱情結合，持續推動更多關懷與教育行動，讓善意成為社會的正向循環。
