大家好！在2023年的炎炎夏日裡，我們與新竹愛心小隊高中志願生一同為新住民家庭的子女帶來了一場別開生面的英語夏令營，這個活動讓我們共同迎向一場語言的冒險，發現世界，更加瞭解自己。

Hello, everyone! In the scorching summer of 2023, together with the Hsinchu Action for Love & Care high school volunteers，we brought a unique English summer camp to the children of new immigrant families。 This activity allowed us to embark on a language adventure together, explore the world, and better understand ourselves.

多元文化擁抱，英語啟航

Embracing multiculturalism, setting sail with English

隨著全球化浪潮的席捲，臺灣社會已然轉向多元文化社會，新住民成為這個多彩畫卷中的一部分。我們的夏令營正是回應這股潮流，由新竹市市政府指導，與新竹市新住民家庭服務中心共同主辦，提供了一個豐富多彩的學習平台，讓新住民家庭的子女能夠自在融入臺灣的多元文化，為未來的競爭力奠定基礎。

As the wave of globalization sweeps through, Taiwanese society has transitioned into a multicultural society, with new immigrants becoming a vibrant part of this tapestry. Our summer camp responds to this trend, guided by the Hsinchu City Government and co-hosted with the Hsinchu City New Immigrant Family Service Center. It provides a rich and colorful learning platform, allowing the children of new immigrant families to seamlessly integrate into Taiwan's diverse culture, laying the foundation for their future competitiveness.

教學目標：生活英語輕鬆學 Teaching goal: Learning everyday English with ease

夏令營的教學目標是讓參與的孩子們能夠在活動中使用英語表達生活中的方方面面，包括食衣住行育樂。透過輕鬆有趣的教學方式，我們希望孩子們不僅能夠掌握實用的英語詞彙，還能夠運用這些詞彙融入日常生活。

The teaching goal of the summer camp is to enable participating children to express various aspects of life in English, including food, clothing, housing, transportation, and recreation. Through a relaxed and enjoyable teaching approach, we hope the children not only grasp practical English vocabulary but also incorporate these words into their daily lives.

教學用書：Cambridge Vocabulary in Use

為了達成教學目標，我們特地選擇了Cambridge Vocabulary in Use作為教材。這本書提供了豐富的詞彙，涵蓋了各種日常生活場景，從而讓孩子們在學習中更具實用性，更容易記憶。

To achieve our teaching goals, we specifically selected "Cambridge Vocabulary in Use" as our teaching material. This book provides a rich vocabulary covering various daily life scenarios, making the children's learning more practical and easier to remember.

教學老師：Kristy老師與新竹愛心小隊 Teachers: Teacher Kristy and the Hsinchu Action for Love & Care Team

教學老師是我們夏令營的靈魂人物，Kristy老師擁有豐富的教學經驗，她以輕鬆風趣的方式引導孩子們，使他們在學習中感到愉快。同時，新竹愛心小隊的高中志願生也是不可或缺的助教，他們用熱情和耐心協助孩子們克服語言障礙，讓整個夏令營充滿歡笑聲和學習的氛圍。

Teachers play a crucial role in our summer camp, and Teacher Kristy, with her extensive teaching experience, guides the children in a light-hearted and humorous manner, making learning enjoyable. Additionally, the high school volunteers from the Hsinchu Action for Love & Care Team serve as indispensable teaching assistants, assisting the children in overcoming language barriers with enthusiasm and patience, creating an atmosphere of laughter and learning throughout the summer camp.

參與對象：新住民家庭的子女 Participants: Children of new immigrant families

我們夏令營的參與對象是新住民家庭的子女，他們來自新竹市，年齡範圍從國小四年級到國小六年級，甚至包括應屆畢業生。共有十位孩子參與這次的冒險，一同探索英語的奇妙世界。

The participants of our summer camp are the children of new immigrant families from Hsinchu City, ranging from fourth to sixth grade, including recent graduates. Ten children are joining this adventure, exploring the wonderful world of English together.

這場英語夏令營不僅是語言的學習，更是夢想的啟航。透過這次活動，我們希望每位參與的孩子都能夠增加自信，激發對語言學習的熱情，為未來的學業和生活打下堅實基礎。

This English summer camp is not just about language learning; it is also the beginning of dreams. Through this activity, we hope that each participating child can gain confidence, ignite a passion for language learning, and establish a solid foundation for future academics and life.

在夏令營的每一天，孩子們不僅學到了實用的英語詞彙，還建立了深厚的友誼。

這是一個充滿愛與希望的夏天，讓我們共同期待這些小小夢想家未來的無限可能。

Every day of the summer camp, the children not only learned practical English vocabulary but also formed deep friendships. It was a summer full of love and hope, and let's look forward to the limitless possibilities of these little dreamers in the future.
