Serving in the Forest: A Meaningful Connection with Nature and Community

11 月 16 日，新竹愛心小隊的學生 Dylan Chiang 與 Jennifer Hsu 前往位於新埔的「麻布森林」，展開半日的志工服務。

On November 16, Hsinchu Love Action students Dylan Chiang and Jennifer Hsu served as volunteers at Maboo Forest in Xinpu.

麻布森林是一座結合自然、人文、手作與友善生活理念的園區，而這次學生協助的點位——「山林小舖」，更是園區中與遊客互動最頻繁的攤位之一。

Maboo Forest is a space that blends nature, culture, and handcrafted living. The “Mountain Forest Shop,” where the students volunteered, is one of the most interactive locations in the park.

服務內容｜Volunteer Responsibilities

學生們負責協助「山林小舖」的販售與現場服務，包括：

At the “Mountain Forest Shop,” the students helped with a variety of tasks, including:

• 向遊客介紹商品

• 協助結帳與包裝

• 補貨、整理展示區

• 提供園區資訊與基本引導

• Introducing products to visitors

• Assisting with checkout and packaging

• Restocking and arranging display items

• Providing basic park information and guidance

  
  

這些看似簡單的任務，卻需要耐心、細心與友善的態度。

These tasks, though simple on the surface, require patience, attentiveness, and a friendly presence.

與遊客互動：從服務中學習責任與溫度

Interacting with Visitors: Learning Responsibility Through Service

在協助販售的過程中，Dylan 與 Jennifer 與許多前來森林散心、旅遊的家庭與旅客交流。While assisting at the booth, Dylan and Jennifer interacted with families and travelers visiting the forest.

他們學習如何主動開口、如何在忙碌時保持效率，也理解「服務」不是制式化動作，而是真誠的連結。

They learned to speak proactively, manage time during busy moments, and understood that service is not just a task — it is a genuine connection with people.

當遊客在他們手中接過商品、露出笑容時，學生也感受到自己的努力正在創造小小的影響力。When visitors received their items with a smile, the students realized their contributions were making a positive impact.

森林中的休息：學習放慢步調的時光

A Break in the Forest: Learning to Slow Down

在 12:30–13:30 的園區休息時段，學生們漫步於森林步道，觀察環境生態，也在園區咖啡店享用了簡單餐點。

During the 12:30–13:30 break, the students explored forest trails and observed the natural surroundings, later enjoying a simple lunch inside the park.

這段放慢步伐的時間讓他們體會到：

This slower pace offered them a chance to reflect:

The volunteer experience at the Mountain Forest Shop was more than service hours — it was a lesson in responsibility, communication, and connection to nature.
